Bang Luang Market - Nakhon Pathom

Bang Luang Market is the former centre of fluvial trading of Bang Len district in the province of Nakhon Pathom. The decent dock made it possible to load and unload a huge volume of goods: it also served a strategic point of distribution.
The Tasting List:Shrimp and Chives Spring Roll: Also known as “Kanom Bong”, this snack has been uninterruptedly made and sold at this market for over 50 years.
Jae Som Neuk’s Vegetarian Steamed Rice Dumplings: The original recipe has been faithfully preserved and followed for over 4 decades.
Steamed Dumplings: The old lady who sells this has been at it for 40 years: she knows her trade.
Pork Satay: Several sellers have this. Try different ones to find what suits your taste.
Pad Thai with Pork at Ping Chai Sin: A diversion from your regular Pad Thai with prawn, this original dish contains the best of both worlds: glossy lacquered pork slices and juicy rice noodles in red sauce. Just what you’d expect from a recipe that has been passed down for 3 generations.
Stewed Pork and Beef Noodle Soup: Locating directly on the bank of the river, this place serves aromatic stewed pork and beef noodles.
Stewed Duck and Tofu: Have had enough of red meat? Try this.
Roll Noodle Soup: The specialty here is that instead of fried pork belly and tripes, they use shredded pork. Very tasty.
Thai Delicacies: Layered pandan cake, Thai coconut pudding and other picks.
Po Pan Coffee: They always roast the beans on site. Go for traditional Thai coffee or Thai-style coffee (O-Leang) for the local taste.
Sri Som Pon Coffee: Another great stop for your caffeine fix. Has been brewing for over a decade.
